Reno Meditation Group
Self Realization Fellowship
In light of recent world wide corona-virus concerns, SRF Mother Center has instructed the Reno Meditation Group and all other groups across the country to cancel all services until further notice. This cancellation begins immediately and affects this Sunday and all future scheduled services until further notice. Center Department will keep us updated and informed as to when we may resume our services.
In the meantime, we are all encouraged by Mother Center to go on line to attend and enjoy daily services: "Those of you who regularly participate in group meditations and spiritual fellowship know the value and positive influence of seeking God together. We encourage you to continue participation in group meditations online via srfonlinemeditation.org. We are also looking into offering additional online inspirational events soon, and encourage you to check our website for updates on this."
WELCOME TO THE RENO MEDITATION GROUP of Self-Realization Fellowship. This group is composed of devoted members and friends of Self-Realization Fellowship, a worldwide nonprofit religious organization with international headquarters in Los Angeles, California. Self-Realization Fellowship was founded in 1920 by Paramahansa Yogananda for the purpose of disseminating Kriya Yoga, a definite scientific technique for attaining direct personal experience of God.
Through its worldwide service and teachings, Self-Realization Fellowship seeks to awaken greater understanding of the harmony underlying all true religions, and a fuller expression in this world of the love that unites all people when they realize their oneness in God.
As an introduction, we suggest that you read Paramahansa Yogananda's Autobiography of a Yogi. Copies of this spiritual classic are available in our book area or in bookstores all over the world.
Weekly SRF Lessons are available to those who would like to study the SRF teachings. These are sent from the SRF international headquarters in Los Angeles, California. The lessons contain techniques for recharging the body, concentration and meditation, and the higher technique of Kriya Yoga, as well as instructions on how to live a balanced material and spiritual life.
